I also have had the pleasure of painting some lovely roses for a client's bathroom and daughter's bedroom - please take a look and let me know what you think!!!
Here is a great idea if you need a guide before painting: I use chalk to outline my design on the wall before I paint - it really helps to get an idea of where to place the flowers and wipes right off when done!

Here is a great way to shabbify your halloween pumpkins!
I found these at White's Farm - farmer's and flea market, and decided to spray paint them white and add pink accents. I did not prime them first, but I would suggest doing just that. They took a few coats of spray paint to cover them. Then add accents of pink and green for the stems. Still spooky, but in a cottagy pumpkin way!
